The project – lead by the BM Duna Art Ensemble- was carried out in the cooperation of eight nations: Hungary, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania and Spain promoted by “Culture 2000” programme of the European Union.
The dance and music artists of the eight countries created a unique dance theatre composition in artistic co-production on the basis of authentic traditions. Besides presenting the own folklore heritage of the individual nations in the dance scenes most parts were showed in joint performance of the international team. It carried the message of entity without uniformity.
The dance production – in the framework of the one year long project (October 2004-October 2005) – was performed in all co-organising countries at world festivals.
The dance-theatre piece acted like an imaginary caravan traveling around Europe disseminating the good practice of tradition and innovation.
